The MCFC will partner with the Minnie Pearl
Cancer Foundation for their annual event, Fusion. Fusion is
an event utilizing the arts to raise money for young adults
with cancer. Board members Manuel, Alain Patterson, and Skippy
have all worked with Fusion in the past, so it was a natural
fit for the council to partner join and participate. This year,
Alain Patterson Couture will headline the fashion show portion
of Fusion. More information will soon be available.

Alain Patterson will be celebrating his 20th
anniversary at Creative Spaces on October 11, 2008. The event
will reflect Alain's begginings as a couturier and highlight
his collections over the last two decades. The show will start
at 9pm with attractions starting earlier in the evening. Stay

The Music City Fashion Council's (MCFC) first
official event, "The Little Black Dress Cocktail Party",
will be held 6-9pm August 21, 2008 at Gallery
One in Belle Meade. The event will introduce the council,
as well as benefit both the council and the Minnie
Pearl Cancer Foundation. The theme of the party is reminiscent
of the infamous cocktail party scene from "Breakfast at Tiffany's",
starring Audrey Hepburn.
This event will be an introduction to the council, their goals
and objectives, serve as the induction of the inaugural members
and bestow honors upon individuals who have helped promote fashion
in Nashvlle.
